The Benefits Of Slowing Down Your Reps

Hey my friend…. welcome back!

My friend that being said here… how’s it going today?

Well Nino I’m glad you asked… ok!

Nino because there’s something that I want to discuss with you today, in regards to “my” training… if that’s ok with you?

My friend absolutely… what is it?

Well Nino lately when I’ve been at the gym here, I’ve been observing how some people do their reps during their sets..ok! 

Nino that being said here… I see some people who do their reps really fast, and some who go really slow ok!

Nino that being said here, what I would like to know from you here today is this…ok!

Nino which way is better and more beneficial for my muscles to grow at their maximum potential here, doing “my” reps slow or fast?

My friend without doubt here today…. doing your reps really slow and controlled during your sets here, is going to allow your muscles to benefit a whole more to grow at their maximum potential, than if you were doing them fast ok!

Nino I had a feeling today that you were going to say to “me”, to do “my” reps slow instead of doing them fast here…ok!

Nino that being said here…. can you give “me” one more benefit here today, that I will see happen to “my” muscles when I’m slowing down “my” reps here during “my” sets?

My friend absolutely…. it would be “my” pleasure here today!

My friend that being said here… are you ready to hear another benefit, that your muscles are going to receive if you slow down your reps?

Absolutely Nino… let “me” hear it!

Ok my friend really this next benefit is a no brainer here, that almost every bodybuilder in our society today is aware of that can happen here, if they slow down their reps..ok!

My friend which is simply this…. they are going to allow their muscles here, to get a better overall pump and also not to mention more blood being pumped into them as well here, during each and every set that they do ok!

My friend because they are really concentrating on the muscle that is being worked, and when that happens here you no doubt are allowing your muscles to have a greater chance of maximum growth here, without any excuses whatsoever in why they can’t…ok!

My friend… does that make sense to you here?

Yeah Nino…. I definitely know exactly, what your talking about here ok!

Nino because I was watching this exercise program the other day on tv, to get some training tips in how I can allow “my” muscles to receive more of a pump here during “my” sets, so they have a greater chance to grow at their maximum potential here…ok!

Awesome my friend… what did they advise you to do?

Well Nino they basically told “me” the same exact same thing here, that your telling “me” here today…ok!

My friend I’m so happy to see that you’ve took it upon yourself to go the extra mile here, to get additonal training tips besides myself here, with you watching some of these great exercise programs that are on tv today…ok!

My friend because that only tells “me” here today, that your serious about acheiving your “dream body” here this year…. “No Excuses”!!

Can Too Much Sugar Effect Your Muscle Growth?

Howdy my friend… nice to see you again!

Hey Nino… the same goes for “me” too!

Nino that being said… can I ask you something?

Absolutely my friend… what is it?

Ok Nino but before I do… can you promise “me” here today, that you will be totally honest with “me” and tell “me” the truth?

Nino because this has really been bothering “me”, “big time” here lately..ok!

Gee my friend it sounds serious here…. absolutely I promise you ok!

Ok Nino as always here… I believe you!

Well Nino as you know here…. Valentine’s Day was a couple of weeks ago here ok!

Oh that’s right my friend… did you get your girlfriend here, a heart filled with some assorted chocolates?

Yeah Nino… I sure did!

Nino that being said here… guess what I did?

Gee my friend I have no idea here… what did you do?

Well Nino instead of “my” girlfriend, eating all the chocolates here… I ended up eating all of them ok!

Gee my friend, your kidding “me”…right?

No Nino I’m afraid I’m not….ok!

Nino that being said here… the thing that I want to know from you here today, is this ok!

Nino… are you listening?

My friend “my” ears are wide open here… what is it?

Well Nino… can all this sugar that I’ve had here lately, effect “my” muscles from growing to their maximum potential??

Well my friend, you said to be totally honest with you here today…right?

Absolutely Nino I did… let’s hear it!

Ok my friend I’m afraid to say that without a doubt here today, with all this sugar that you’ve been putting into you body here lately, your definitely causing your muscles serious damage for allowing them to continue to grow at their maximum potential here ok!

Gee Nino… I knew it!

Nino that being said here…. what do recommend that I do here today then, to stop that from happening?

Nino because the last thing that I want to see happen to “me” here today, is four years of hard training in hopes of ”me” to one day achieve that “dream body” of mine, go quickly down the drain here…ok!

My friend we’re NOT going to let that happen, to you here today… ok!

My friend that being said here… this is what I recommend you do from now on here, in regards to having sugar in your diet today…ok!

My friend once again here…. are you listening??

Yeah Nino… I definitely want to hear this!

Listen my friend I’m not going to tell you today, to totally eliminate sugar from your diet…. because that’s impossible for anyone to do here ok!

My friend that being said here what I’m going to reccomend that you do from now on, is to monitor to your daily sugar intake very carefully here… ok!

My good friend in other words here, keep your daily sugar intake in moderation a little each time ok!

Ok Nino I can definitely live with that…. “No Excuses”!!

My Thoughts On Doing Hack Squats

Hello my friend…. welcome back!

My friend that being said here…. how have you been?

Well Nino I’m glad you asked “me” that, right off the bat here today…ok!

Really my friend…. why’s that??

Well Nino I know that it’s been quite awhile here, since we’ve discussed how “my” training has been going here lately..ok!

Gee my friend your absolutely right…. it has been quite awhile here, since we had an opportunity to talk about your training progress here lately…ok!

Well Nino hold that thought here today because…. guess what??

Gee my friend… what is it?

Well Nino once again here today, you’ll be happy to know that I just added another new exercise here, to “my” daily leg routine…ok!

My friend that’s great…. what is it??

Well Nino this new leg exercise that I just started doing here in the last couple of weeks, just happens to be called “Hack Squats” here…ok!

Hold on my friend….. did you just say “Hack Squats?

Yeah Nino I sure did… why?

Well my friend it just so happens… that I just got done doing some “Hack Squats” here myself, at the gym this morning as well ok!

Gee Nino.. your kidding “me”!

Nino that being said here… you’ll be happy to know today, that I’m still faithfully doing them everytime I train “my” legs ok!

Nino if you don’t mind “me” asking… why did you bring up, “Squats” here again out of the blue today?

Nino because I thought we were going to discuss, doing ”Hack Squats” together here today?

Absolutely my friend… we still are ok!

My friend that being here…. would you like to know why, I brought up the topic on doing “Squats” here again to you today?

Yeah Nino absolutely…. you have “me” curious!

Ok my friend…listen up!

Ok my friend…. wouldn’t you agree with “me here today, that “Hack Squats” and Squats are basically the same exercises here that focuses on working your quadriceps?

Absolutely Nino… I sure do!

Nino because ever since I started doing these exercises together here when I’m training ”my” legs, I’ve seen a huge difference in the overall size increase of “my” quadricep muscles….ok!

My friend… that’s great to hear ok!

My friend that being said here… guess what?

Gee Nino… what is it?

Well my friend believe or not here today…. I have found one major difference here, that I believe makes doing ”Hack Squats” a little bit more effective for your quadriceps, to grow more… than doing ”Squats” here ok!

Really Nino… what might that difference be?

Well my friend I’m glad you asked that… because I’m about to tell you ok!

Absolutely Nino… let “me” hear it!

Well my friend as you probably have noticed here since you’ve been doing your “Hack Squats” here lately, your able to isolate your quadricep muscles alot more here, than if you were doing your “Squats”.

My friend that being said here…. wouldn’t you agree with “me” on this?

Yeah Nino absolutely…. without a doubt ok!

Nino that being said here… why’s that??

Well my friend once again here today.. I’m about to tell you ok!

My friend…. do you have ears on?

As always Nino… let’s hear it! 

Well my friend the reason is simply this… when your doing ”Hack Squats” here, your back is planted against the pad at all times during the exercise, which will allow no tension to be placed on your lower back but keep it all on your quadricep muscles without any excuses..ok!

My friend that being said here… that is not case here when your doing your ”Squats”, because as you probably have noticed here your back has a tendency of coming into play from time to time during the exercise, due to your back being slightly bent over ok!

My friend with all this being said…. wouldn’t you agree??

Yeah Nino come to think of it… your absolutely right!

Nino because I definitely find when I’m doing “my” “Squats” here from time to time, I tend to feel that some of the tension is put on “my” lower back, instead of it all being put on “my” quadricep muscles… where it should be during the entire exercise ok!

Nino that being said….. what do you say we get out of here today, and hit the gym together to do some more “Hack Squats”?

My Thoughts On Doing Decline Presses

Absolutely not Nino… I couldn’t be more serious here today ok!

Well my friend listen up here today, because I’m about to tell you…ok!

Ok Nino I’m all ears… let’s hear it!

Well my friend as your probably aware of here today, when your doing “Decline Presses” your lying down on the bench with your head going in a downward position here ok!

My friend that being said here… that is why I find “Decline Presses” awkward here today to be doing for your chest, because your having to press the bar up with your chest and head lying in a downward position..ok!

My friend that being said here… wouldn’t you agree with “me” on this?

Yeah Nino…absolutely!

Nino that being said here… it’s funny that you should be say this very thing today, about “Decline Presses” here ok!

Gee my friend… why’s that?

Well Nino ever since I started doing “Decline Presses” here lately for “my” chest, I definitely without a doubt been finding it very awkward to be doing as well here..ok!

Nino because how “my” head and chest here, are positioned downward on the bench like you said…ok!

Nino that being said here… just for that reason alone I have been very careful not to use too much weight, so I can control the movement to be able to place the bar on the lower part of “my” chest here ok!

Well my friend once again here today… your really showing “me” how you’ve matured over the years here, since we’ve been together in regards to your training knowledge ok!

My friend that being said here… that’s exactly what your supposed to do here, when your starting any new exercise for the very first time ok!

My friend so you can get the feel in how the exercise is supposed to be performed correctly here, so you can receive the maximum benefits from it, without any excuses here in why you can’t…ok!

Well my friend as your probably well aware of here today, “Close Grip Barbell Presses” are quite different than “Regular Barbell Presses”…ok!

My friend that being said here…. wouldn’t you agree with “me” on that?

Yeah Nino absolutely…ok!

Nino that being said here…. can I tell you why, that’s the case here today?

My friend absolutely…. I would love to hear, your explanation here today ok!

Ok Nino as your well aware of here today… when your doing “Close Grip Barbell Presses” here, you have to place your hands quite close on to the bar and press it up…ok!

Nino that right there is definitely without doubt here… challenging your tricep muscles “big time”, by the positioning of your hands on the bar ok!

Nino that being said here today… it’s just the opposite here when were doing regular barbell presses, where are hands are placed farther apart on to the bar here, which definitely makes it easier on your triceps to press the bar up ok!

Nino that being said here today… how did I do on “my” explanation here, telling you the difference between “Close Grip Barbell Presses” and “Regular Barbell Presses?

Well Nino once again here you must be reading “my” mind today, because I have some news for you in regards to “my” daily bicep training routine here…ok!

Awesome my friend…. what is it?

Well Nino once again here today… you’ll be happy to know that I just added another new bicep exercise, to “my” daily bicep routine ok!

My friend that’s great…. what is it?

Well Nino something tells “me” here today… just by looking at the size of your biceps here, you’ve done alot of these in your bicep routine as well ok!

Nino that being said here… would you like to take a guess and tell “me”, what bicep exercise I might be referring to today?

Ok my friend there are two things here that you need to make sure that your right, in order for you to get the maximum benefit for putting mass on your biceps here, when doing your “Standing Barbell Curls”.

Ok my friend you need to make sure that your back stays upright at ALL times here, when doing your “Standing Barbell Curls” so you can avoid putting unnecessary stress to your lower back.

Listen my friend I can’t tell you how many times I see people at “my” gym, arch their back “big time” here when their doing “Standing Barbell Curls”…ok!

Well Nino you’ll be happy to know today… that I definitely haven’t been arching “my” back here, I’ve been keeping it upright like you said..ok!

My friend that’s GREAT to hear..ok!

Well my friend something tells “me” here today… that your definitely doing the second thing right too, when doing your “Standing Barbell Curls” ok!

My friend that being said… have you also been keeping your elbows tight to your sides here, so that the tension remains on your biceps and nowhere else?

Well Nino there is absolutely no doubt now in ”my” mind today, that I definitely have matured a great deal in “my” knowledge here in regards to “my” training….ok!

Well Nino it’s quite simple here today…. I’ve also been keeping “my” elbows tight in close to “my” sides here too, so I can keep constant tension on “my” biceps and nowhere else ok!

My friend once again here… that’s GREAT to hear ok!

Well my friend I guess that only tells “me”, one thing here today…ok!

The Importance Of A Spotter

Hey my friend… welcome back!

My friend that being said… how are you today?

Well Nino to be totally honest with you here… “my” day was off to a good start today, until I went to the gym and witnessed something really scary ok!

Nino that being said… I’m afraid I have some bad news here today, to report to you ok!

Gee my friend… what is it??

Well Nino this morning at the gym I saw a guy, who was getting ready to bench press quite a bit of weight… ok!

Nino that being said here…. I thought that it would be a good idea on “my” part, to ask “him” if “he” needed “me” to spot “him”, just to be on the safe ok!

My friend that was really good thinking… I’m proud of you ok!

Yeah Nino I thought so too… until I heard “his” response ok!

Nino that being said here… would you like to know what “he” told “me”??

My friend absolutely…. I sure do!

Well Nino “he” told “me” simply here, that “he” didn’t need “me” to spot “him”..ok!

Gee my friend… why not?

Nino because “he” told “me” that he’s been working out for quite awhile now, and he was more than strong enough to handle the “BIG” weight on his own..ok!

Well my friend to be totally honest with you here today, I’m not at all surprised by that response…ok!

Gee Nino…why not??

Well my friend I guess you can say that response is quite common today, among guys especially who have been working out for quite awhile…ok!

 My friend and just for that reason alone, they don’t find it necessary for them to have a spotter…ok!

My friend because they think their more than able, to handle the “BIG” weight on their own.. ok!

So my friend that being said… was this guy at your gym today, able to press ALL this weight “he” had on the bar on his own then?

Gee Nino what do you think… absolutely not ok!

Nino that being said here… “he” ended up hurting himself “BIG TIME”, by crushing his chest cavity ok!

Nino because the bar went down so fast on his chest here, that he was unable to press it back up on “his” own… ok!

Ok my friend…. stop right there!

Well my friend believe or not here once again, you just gave “me” a great idea for our next topic of discussion this week…ok!

Well my friend it should really be of no surprise to you here today, of what we’re going to be talking about…ok!

My friend that being said….I’m just going to add one more thing to that today ok!

Well Nino I believe it’s been about three years now…ok!

Nino that being said…. I’m determined not to let anything stop “me” whatsoever here today, from achieving that “dream body” of mine one day ok!

My Thoughts On Doing Skull Crushers

Hey my friend…. it’s great to see you again!

Well Nino as you know it’s been quite awhile here, since I gave you a report on how “my” training has been going lately.

Gee my friend once again here… you must be reading “my” mind here this week, because I was just going to ask you that very question ok!

Well Nino it looks like, I beat you to it today… ok!

Nino that being said here… would you like “me” to tell you the news now, regarding “my” daily tricep training regime?

Well Nino once again here I was reading the latest issue of Muscle and Fitness, and they were talking about how to develop that horseshoe for your triceps…ok!

Nino that being said here… they recommended that I should try, doing “Skull Crushers” ok!

Nino because it would really allow “me” to isolate “my” triceps, so I can develop that horseshoe that every bodybuilder is striving for today ok!

Gee my friend… I can’t believe it!

Well my friend I have to be totally honest with here today, I’m just so amazed with you lately of how enthusiastic you’ve been in the last couple of years here, in finding new exercises to add to your daily training regime… ok!

My friend that being said here…. that shows “me” that your really determined, to acheive that “dream body” of yours this year ok!

Nino absolutely… I will not stop until that happens ok!

Ok my friend I’m just going to add one more thing here today, on doing “Skull Crushers” if you don’t mind.

Ok my friend…. “Skull Crushers” will without a doubt also help you improve, your overall definition in your arms as well, because it hits the biceps too!

Nino because ever since I started putting “Skull Crushers” here into “my” tricep routine, I’ve seen a huge difference in how “my” biceps are shaping up as well..ok!

Nino because they are definitely without a doubt here, more defined than ever before…ok!

My Thoughts On Doing Incline Presses

Hey my friend… how are you today?

Well Nino as a matter here things are going well… especially with “my” training regime lately ok!

Well Nino I’ve been reading in alot of these different muscle magazines here lately, that “Incline Presses” is the best exercise to be doing, to help develop your upper chest.. ok!

Nino that being said here… would you tend to agree with “me” on that?

Ok my friend I want to go back to what you said to “me” earlier, when you told “me” that your using the dumbells when your doing your “Incline Presses”, instead of you using the barbell.

Ok my friend as you probably found out already here, doing “Incline Presses” with the barbell is kind of boring.

Gee Nino… what do you mean by that?

Well my friend what I mean here is, your unable to get a good squeeze at the top for your upper chest when you bring the barbell up ok!

My friend that being said here… do you understand, what I’m trying to say to you here?

Actually Nino I sure do…ok!

Nino because I’ve been finding out here lately, with “me” doing ”Incline Presses” with the dumbells, I’m able to arch them in when I bring them up and really get a good squeeze for “my” upper chest….ok! 

Nino that being said here…. with “me” using the barbell I’m unable to do that, because it’s only one motion up and down with the bar, and I definitely cannot get that good squeeze at the top like I can with “me” using the dumbells ok!

Nino that being said here… your absolutely right, doing “Incline Presses” with the barbell here is without a doubt boring.

Nino I also what to add with “me” using the dumbells instead of the barbell, I’ve been noticing alot more definition here in “my” upper chest lately..ok!

Nino that being said here… I have a great idea!

My Thoughts On Doing Preacher Curls

Well my friend believe it or not once again here, you happen to be doing the most challenging bicep exercises out of all the rest that are out there today, when your training your biceps…ok!

My friend that being said here…. did you know that?

Gee Nino I had absolutely no idea here, that “Preacher Curls” actually fell into the category of being the most challenging exercises to be doing, out of all the rest that are out there today when your training your biceps.. ok!

Well my friend to be totally honest with you here today, I had absolutely no idea either until I started doing them…ok!

My friend that being said here… would you like “me” to tell you why, I feel “Preacher Curls” are the most challenging exercises to be doing, when your training your biceps today?

Yeah Nino absolutely… I’m all ears!

Ok my friend for starters “Preacher Curls” really allows you to develop a good peak on your biceps, if you do them correctly with a strict slow motion.

My friend let “me” give you an example, of what I mean here….ok!

Ok Nino because I definitely want to make sure here, that I’ve been doing “my” “Preacher Curls” correctly if I want to develop a good peak on “my” biceps…. like yours!

My friend…. I really appreciate the comment ok!

My friend but I’ll be the first to tell you today, that I’ve ONLY been able to develop a good peak on “my” biceps here, strictly because of “my” form and nothing else..ok!

My friend that being said here… let’s see if you’ve been doing, your “preacher Curls” correctly ok!

Ok my friend the first thing that you want to make sure here, when your doing your “Preacher Curls”, is that you keep your elbows on the pad at ALL times during your set.

My friend that being said here…. have you been doing that?

Gee Nino to be totally honest with here…. I haven’t been keeping “my” elbows on the pad, at All times during “my” sets ok!

Well my friend to be totally honest with you here, I’m not at all surprised of what you just told “me”..ok!

Gee Nino it’s really funny that you should be saying this, because I definitely think without a doubt here, I’ve been doing the exact same thing..ok!

Nino that being said here… I have a strong feeling after our discussion today on “Preacher Curls”,  I’m going to really start developing that peak on “my” biceps here, in no time at all ok!

Ok Nino… I going to start using alot lighter weight here, when I’m doing “my” “Preacher Curls” from now on, so I can make sure that “my” elbows stay glued to the pad at ALL times…ok!

Nino so I can get the full benefit of the exercise here, so I can allow the peaks on “my” biceps to really start developing the right way…ok!
