My Thoughts On Doing “Drop Sets”

Howdy my good friend…. how are you doing on this bitter cold winter afternoon? Gee Nino I’m doing ok and your not kidding…. yes it is sure cold out there today! Gee Nino that being said…… would you like to hear something funny that happened to “me”, on the way here to meet you this afternoon?

Gee my friend sure why not because I definitely haven’t had a good laugh in quite awhile, since we’ve been together here week after week! My friend it’s like I told you awhile back which is simply this! My friend God wants us to take the time that we spend together here week after week very seriously in discussing the many issues, that many people today in our society are facing and are in desperate need of some guidance on!

My friend on the other hand remember God also expects us to have some laughs here from time to time, to break up the mood from “serious” to “funny”! My friend because it will definitely help us to stay focused on our mission together, and also it will prevent us from getting bored with one another here week after week!

Gee Nino don’t worry I’ll never get bored of you! Nino it’s like I’ve said to you time and time again here! Nino I really have enjoyed all these great topics that we’ve discussed to this point! Nino simply because I’ve learned so much and I’ve been using alot of the great info that you’ve given “me”, from alot of these topics so far to really help “me” in alot of area’s in my life especially in ”my” training lately!

My friend that’s great to hear I’m happy that I’ve been able to help you and you can bet I will continue to do so! My friend and the same goes for “me” as well I’ll never get bored of you either, so let’s keep on enjoying our time together here week after week….shall we!

Nino you got yourself a deal!

So my friend that being said…… please tell “me” now what happened to you on the way here today that’s guaranteed to make “me” laugh!

Ok Nino this is going to make of what I’m about to tell you here even that much funnier, after what was just said! Well Nino I got up early this morning and went to the gym to actually believe or not, try out another new twist to “my” workout program that I really think that your going to love once again!

Gee My friend that’s great…… but what’s so funny about that? Oh no Nino that’s definitely not what’s going to make you laugh today! Hey Nino if it’s ok with you after I finally spill the beans to you on the funny thing that happened to “me”….. would it be ok if I discuss my latest new twist in with you, and possibly get your thoughts on it as well?

My friend absolutely I definitely want to hear about your latest new twist in regards to your training program, after which I would be more than happy to give you my thoughts on it as well! My friend but before we go ahead and do that…… would you please now go ahead and tell “me”, what happened to you today that’s going to make me laugh!

Ok Nino get ready to burst out laughing…. because here it comes! Nino do remember our discussion last week we had on the importance of eating right after working out? My friend absolutely I sure do! My friend as a matter of fact I’m glad that you brought that up because I was just going to ask you…. how’s that been going? Gee Nino let me just say it has been going great….ever since you really opened up my eyes and made me realize, just how vital it is for “me” to be eating the right nutrients right after my workouts!

Gee Nino as a matter of fact I just got done having “my” protein shake and three rice cakes with some natural peanut butter and jelly on them! My friend I’m so glad to hear you say that because I guarantee you one thing, your muscles are thanking you ” big time” for feeding them the right nutrients at the right time so they can keep on growing and repair themselves!

So my friend is that what you wanted to tell “me” that’s so funny?

Gee Nino absolutely not….. you know as well as I do now that is nothing but “serious” stuff! Gee Nino but what I’m about to tell you next is going to make you laugh “big time” I guarantee you!

Ok my friend enough of the suspense out with it…… so you can then tell me about your latest new twist that you’ve put in to your training program!

Ok Nino!

Well Nino after I got done feeding my muscles I got into my car to come here today, and I totally forgot how to get here! Nino I actually had to look at the map to get the directions! Ha Ha Ha….. Gee my friend that is funny considering after what you’ve been saying to me pretty much every week here! My friend which is simply that you cannot wait to get here to discuss our next topic together!

Hey my friend don’t be embarrassed one bit because that happens to me quite a bit! My friend for instance just a couple weeks ago around Christmas I completely lost all sense of direction, in how to get to my grandmother’s house who I don’t get a chance to go and see very often!

Gee Nino I think God might be trying to tell you something here!

My friend and what might that be??

Well Nino I think God is telling you that you should go visit your grandmother more often, not just over the holidays! Gee my friend I think your absolutely right with that assumption consider it done…. no more excuses!!

Ok my friend that being said……. I think it’s time to put on our game faces here and get back to business!

Gee Nino I totally agree with you so I’m going to get right to telling you about my latest new twist, that I’ve put into my training program…… ok!

Ok Nino and I have a strong feeling that your going to be very familiar, with my latest training twist that I’m about to reveal to you! Well my friend I guess only time will tell if that holds true! Gee Nino I had a feeling that you were going to say that so let’s not waste anymore time today, and let the cat out of the bag….. shall we!

Gee my friend I couldn’t agree with you more because all of this suspense surrounding your latest training twist, is really making me excited today! Ok Nino hold on to your excitement because here it comes! Well Nino have you ever heard of or done ”Drop Sets” before in your workouts? Gee my friend I can’t believe what you’ve just done once again here! Gee Nino from the tone of your voice something tells “me”, that this might be another one of those “special” days for us!

My friend you couldn’t be more right once again because not only am I familiar with doing “Drop Sets” in my workouts, but you were definitely right on when you said earlier that I would love doing them! My friend this is definitely without a doubt going to be our second topic of discussion since we’ve been together, that we’re in total agreement on!

Ok my friend that being said I guess it’s no surprise today in what our next topic of discussion, this week is going to be about then! Gee Nino let me take a wild guess and say that your going to give me your thoughts on doing “Drop Sets”….. right! Gee my friend it’s like I’ve been telling you lately which is simply this! My friend you certainly haven’t lost a step when it comes to you figuring out, our next topic of discussion because your absolutely…. right once again!

Gee Nino since I’m a roll today figuring out things for you let me take another wild guess here and say, that I probably won’t be needing my pen and pad this week either since we both agree on doing “Drop Sets”……. right?

My friend your definitely without a doubt batting a thousand today because your right once again with that assumption, so I give you the permission to just sit back and relax today while I give you my thoughts on doing “Drop Sets”…… ok! Gee Nino thanks because I definitely could use a break from writing this week, because my writing hand is still recovering from “me” writing a ton of information on our discussion last week! Well my friend just like the commerical says you deserve a break today!

Gee Nino does that mean that your going to treat me for some Mc Donalds after our discussion today, on doing “Drop Sets”? My friend that was a nice try instead how about if I treat to another workout with “me”, and we’ll train our biceps together doing all ”Drop Sets”! Gee Nino you certainly know how to spoil the fun…… ok you got a deal!

Great my friend so I suggest we get moving here today and give you my take on doing “Drop Sets”, so we can go bomb our biceps later!

Ok my friend…. here we go again!

Ok my good friend before I go ahead today and give you my thoughts on doing “Drop Sets”, let me just say to you I really like what your doing lately in regards to your training program! Gee Nino if you don’t mind me asking you what am I doing that’s so special with my training lately, that seems to have you so excited about in the last couple of weeks here? Well my friend it really should be of no surprise to you in why I’m so excited in what your doing with your training program as of late…. which is simply for this reason!

My friend are you listening because this is huge for you to know also like I’ve been telling too lately, it really shows “me” that you’ve matured quite a bit with your knowledge in regards to your training as well!

Yeah Nino I sure am…… I’m actually excited about this! Well my friend it’s quite simple here in why I’m saying all this to you today! My friend simply because your taking it upon yourself to add some variety into your training program lately, by you going ahead and implementing all these new twists without “me” telling you! My friend if that definitely right there doesn’t show you that you’ve matured quite a bit in your training lately, I certainly don’t know what will convince you of that fact! My friend great job keep those new twists coming!

Gee Nino thanks that definitely means alot to “me” coming from you! Nino and you can bet that I’ll have another new training twist, to share with you soon! Gee my friend I can hardly wait but before that happens let me now give you my thoughts on your current twist…… doing “Drop Sets”!

Ok my friend I’m going to jump right into it and give you two reasons why I love doing “Drop Sets” as well, because I want to get to training those biceps with you later until they literally drop to the floor! Gee Nino I can hardly wait for that to happen! Ok my friend here comes reason #1! Well my friend I believe the name says it all in what we’re supposed to be doing, with each set that we do with this program!

My friend can you tell me what that might be? 

Ok Nino I believe I know the answer only because I’ve been doing it myself… for about a week now! Ok my friend let’s….. hear it! Well Nino I believe that we’re supposed to drop the weight at least in 5lbs increments with each set that we do, without taking any rest in between them and still try to get the same number of reps as when we first started! My friend your absolutely right but have you been finding out, that it’s easier said than done!

Yeah Nino I sure have and I wanted to ask you why is that…. shouldn’t it become eaiser to get the same number of reps as we drop the weight! My friend your right because if we do the math it should become eaiser to get the same number of reps, as we drop the weight but in reality it’s not supposed to get easier! My friend that is one very good reason why I love doing “Drop Sets”…. because it really puts “my” muscles through a true test of endurance! Furthermore my friend it also puts “my” will to a test to see if I have that mental toughness that it takes for ”me”, to still be able to get the same number of reps with each and every set that I do as when I first started! 

Ok my friend are you ready to hear my last reason today in why I love doing”Drop Sets” so much?

Yeah Nino I sure am…… because I want to get to our bicep workout! My friend and so do I so I’m going to make my second reason short and sweet! My friend reason #2 is simply this….. I just LOVE the challenge! My friend because it really puts my motto of “No Excuses” to the test! My friend no matter how tough it’s getting for “me” to get the same number of reps as when I first started even though the weight is lighter, I will not quit until I get that magic number of at least 15 reps in every set! Gee Nino now that’s what I call in having “Determination” to get the job done, no matter how tough it’s getting on you and your muscles to get through each and every set!

Well my friend I have news for you today!

Well my friend believe or not you’ve been showing “me” alot of “Determination” yourself as of late…. do you know why I say this? Gee Nino I’m not trying to be negative here but I’m definitely not one to be known to have alot of “Determination” in my life! Well my friend like I said I have news for you because that’s definitely not the case for you any longer….. simply for this reason!

Yeah Nino absolutely…… I can’t wait to hear this!

Well my friend it’s quite simple why I say that you’ve been showing “me” alot of “Determination yourself lately! My friend because by you coming up on your own with all  these new training twists into your training program lately, is definitely more than enough proof for “me” and should be also for yourself without any doubt whatsoever that your very determined to keep your training going for a very long time! Gee Nino since you put it that way I guess I do have a little “Determination” going in my life!

My friend believe or not but you’ve had the “Determination” all along…… I think you just had to have another person tell you that to make you realize it for yourself! Gee Nino thanks for finally making “me” realize that I certainly do have alot of “Determination” in my life as well! My friend no thanks necessary because this is part of “my” mission that God has me on, to make you realize certain good traits that you have in your life that your unaware of today!

Ok my friend that being said…… are you ready to go to the gym with me and do some “Drop Sets” with our biceps now? Gee Nino absolutely and you can bet that you’ll be seeing alot more of that “Determination” on my part come into play, because I’m determined to keep up with you no matter how hard it gets on “my” biceps… ”No Excuses”! Gee my friend that sure sounds like a challenge to “me” your on….. let’s go!

The Importance Of Eating Right After Your Workout

Hello my good friend it’s great to see you once again here…. as always! Hey Nino and the same holds true for me as well! Gee Nino something tells me that our meeting today is going to be very meaningful for me, so I brought my pen and pad with me just in case! Gee my friend that sure sounds like to me that your anticipating, another one of my valuable lessons in our discussion today! Well Nino I guess only time will tell if that holds true as you would sometimes tell “me” from time to time…. right!

Gee my friend you are definitely without a doubt not only starting to think like “me”, but also starting to talk like “me” as well now!

Gee Nino I know and I know for a fact that’s definitely…… a good thing!

So my friend that being said…. is there something on your mind that you want to talk to me about today? Gee Nino not that I could think of at the moment but if there’s something that pops into my head, that I want to talk to you about today I’ll definitely let you know! Ok my friend I appreciate that…… thanks!

Ok Nino it sounds like a plan!

Well Nino do you remember our discussion last week we had on doing “Super Sets”?

My friend as a matter of fact God and I remember quite well because if my memory serves me right that discussion we had, ended up being a very ”special” one at that since we’ve been together! My friend would you tend to agree with me on that assumption? Gee Nino absolutely…. I sure do! Nino because I believe if my memory serves me right our discussion we had on doing “Super Sets”, was actually the very first one since we’ve been together that we both were in agreement on!

My friend your absolutely right…. and I have a strong feeling that its going to continue with our next topic of discussion today as well!

Ok my friend that being said…… what did you want to tell me?

Well Nino I just wanted to let you know that since I’ve been “super” setting all of my exercises in my workouts lately, all my muscles in my entire body have been really worked to the “max”  that I’ve never had them burn like this before since I’ve been training! Gee Nino would you consider that due to the fact that my muscles, have been burning so much…. a good thing or a bad thing?

Well my friend before I respond to your question….. can I tell you something? Gee Nino absolutely…. go right ahead! Ok thanks my friend! Well my friend I just want to let you know how proud I am of you, with your training as of late! Gee Nino if you don’t mind me asking…. why’s that? Well my friend I think it’s pretty simple why I say this! My friend simply because in our last couple of discussions we’ve had on training lately, you’ve really shown me alot of heart and desire to really bring your training up to the next level!

Gee Nino thanks I appreciate that but that’s only because of one simple reason! Gee my friend and what might that reason be? Gee Nino I believe the reason is quite simple and apparent by now because you’ve really helped me, develop a “No Excuse” attitude since we’ve been together in just about anything that I do in my life now!

My friend God and I are so glad to hear you say because helping you develop a “No Excuse” attitude is what my mission that God has me on is all about! Well Nino I’ll say it again…. your doing a great job! Well my friend it’s like I’ve said don’t thank me….. thank God for bringing Vanessa, Mark and Tom into my life for making Nino’s Mission possible!

Ok my friend that being said once again…. let’s get back to your question that you asked me earlier shall we!

Ok Nino and I have a strong feeling that your going to tell me that it’s definitely a good thing, that my muscles are burning so much when I’m “super” setting!

Gee my friend its like I told you earlier you are no doubt starting to think along the same lines as myself lately, because your absolutely right on with that assumption! My friend I know all to well how it feels when your “super” setting exercises and your muscles are burning beyond beleif, just ask my legs they’ll tell you simply this and I quote! “Gee Nino how do you expect us to support you on your crutches all day…. if we can barely stand”!

Well my friend let me just tell you that I love that feeling and you should as well because you know that your muscles, are being worked and more blood is being pumped into them so they can grow! So my friend I know in order for our muscles to get the full benefit of a “super” setting workout or any workout for that matter, we need to go home and feed them with the proper amount of protein, simple carbs, and fats right away! 

My friend wouldn’t you agree with “me” on that assumption?

Gee Nino I have a strong feeling that your not going to pleased with my answer! So Nino that being said to be totally honest with you, I haven’t been eating anything whatsoever after any of my workouts since I’ve started training! My friend if you don’t mind asking you can you give me one good reason, why you haven’t been eating anything after your workouts? Well Nino to be totally honest with you I’m just not hungry at the time! Nino I usually wait a couple of hours after my workout, before I go ahead and eat something!

Well my friend you’ve done it once again!

Gee Nino let me take a wild guess again…. Hmm I believe I’ve just come up with are next topic of discussion this week! Gee my friend once again you couldn’t be more right with that assumption! Gee Nino let me go off on a limb and also say to you that I have feeling that I’m going to be receiving another one of your valuable lessons…… this time around on why it’s so important for “me” to be eating right after my workouts!

Gee my friend your two for two today because your absolutely right again! Well Nino I guess that it would be safe for me to say then, that both my pen and pad are going to be back to good use this week….. unlike our discussion last week when I didn’t need them! Yeah my friend your right but that’s ok! My friend because it’s like I’ve told you these are the types of weeks that I love when I have to put on, “my” teachers cap to teach you something important! 

So my friend that being said…. are you ready to go back to school today and learn why it’s so important for you to be eating right after your workouts?

Ok my friend listen up because I’m going to get right to the point today, why you need to be putting the necessary nutrients into your muscles soon after you finish working them! Ok Nino my pen and pad are ready for action…. let’s hear it!

Well my friend first of all…. did you know that there is a general rule of thumb that we all need to follow right after our workouts today, in order for our muscles to receive the full benefits from each and every workout that we do! Gee Nino to be totally honest with you I was unaware of there being a rule, that I need to be following after my workouts!

Gee Nino what might that rule be?

Well my friend I’m glad you asked because I’m about to tell you that important rule that your going to start implementing, after each one of your workouts from now on without any excuses!

Yeah Nino absolutely……. go ahead!

Ok my friend here’s the rule that pretty much all bodybuilders today live by, after there done tearing up their muscles! My friend they simply go home and within 45 minutes following their workout they go and feed their muscles, the necessary nutrients they need in order for them to grow and repair themselves! Gee Nino I had no idea until now that I needed to be doing this…. so soon after my workouts! Well my friend now you do! Listen my friend I’m only trying to help you get the full benefit of each and every one of your workouts, because I can’t stress to you the importance of eating within that 45 minute spand!

Gee Nino I’m almost afraid to ask you this but this is the only way that I’m going to learn today, on why it’s so imporant for me to be eating within 45 minutes after my workouts! Gee my friend how many times do we have to go through this you shouldn’t be afraid to ask me anything….. what would you like to know? 

Well Nino as you know as I stated earlier to you I definitely haven’t been following the 45 minute rule, in where I need to be feeding my muscles following my workout! Yeah my friend I know and let me just say one thing to you about that ….. are you listening?? Yeah Nino and I have a strong feeling that your about to tell me that I won’t be waiting two hours after my workouts anymore, until I decide to go ahead and feed my muscles…. right!

Gee my friend you took the words right out of my mouth…… because your absolutely right! My friend and here is one good reason why that’s the case…… get ready to write this down!

Ok Nino once again… let’s hear it!

Well my friend it’s pretty simple in what that reason is! My friend which is simply almost all bodybuilders know today that right after an intense workout, it is crucial for them to get the highest quality of glucose, amino acids and creatine into their bodies it they want their muscles to keep on growing! Gee Nino I know for a fact that I haven’t been doing any of that! Yeah my friend I know that but I have news for you today, your definitely going to start doing that now without any excuses whatsoever….. right!!

Gee Nino absolutely….. you can count on it!

So Nino that being said…… what do you recommend I start eating right after my workouts then? Nino so I can definitely make sure that my body gets all these necessary nutrients that your talking about here, in order for my muscles to keep on growing! Gee Nino because as you know I’ve been training so hard lately, the last thing that I want to see happen is for my muscles to stop the growing process!

My friend I had a strong feeling that you were going to ask me that because I definitely, don’t want your muscles to stop the growing process either! So my friend that being said…. get ready to write down this very imporant piece of info so we can definitely make sure that it doesn’t happen!

Ok Nino once again… I’m all ears!

Ok my friend and I only know this because when I used to train with Vanessa she would always remind me after working out, to go home and feed my muscles these three specific things! My friend which is simply one scoop of whey protein followed by three plain rice cakes, with natural peanut butter and natural jelly! My friend I promise you that if you start today and go ahead and feed your muscles these three imporant key nutrients everyday following your workouts, there is absolutely NO WAY that your muscles can stop the growing and repair process that we all want to see happen!

Gee Nino I can’t tell you how much I appreciate you opening up my eyes today on how important it is for me, to get the right nutrients into my body quickly following my intense workouts! Gee my friend that sure sounds like to me that I’ve convinced you to stop waiting two hours, after your workouts anymore before you go ahead and feed your burning muscles! 

Gee Nino you couldn’t be more right with that assumption! So Nino that being said…. guess what I’m gong to go home and do now? Gee My friend I have no idea….. what might that be? Gee Nino Com mon I know you know the answer! Gee my friend to be totally honest with you I must have forgotton….. can you refresh my memory! Gee Nino ok since you put it that way……. sure I”ll help refresh your memory!

Well Nino it’s quite simple in what I’m going to go home and do now! Gee Nino since its already been a couple of hours since I worked out I need to go home, and feed my burning muscles now because I’m way past that 45 minute window! Oh that’s right my friend thanks for reminding me, I need to go home and eat as well because its now been 30 minutes since I worked out!
