Hey it’s great to see you back! How have things been my friend since we last saw each other?? Nino I guess things are going ok! Gee my friend that sure didn’t convince me at all that things are ok with you! My friend is there something on your mind again…. that you would like to talk to me about? Gee Nino you sure have gotton to know me well, since we’ve been together…. your starting to read my mind! Nino I guess I can’t really hide anything from you!
First of all my friend why would you want to hide, telling me anything that might be bothering you! Remember my friend my mission that God has me on is strictly, to help you with anything in your life that you might need some guidance on! So my friend now that being said again! Please tell me what’s on your mind? Gee Nino I’m sorry it’s just that you’ve helped me in alot of area’s so far in my life, and not forgetting my sister getting her off those diet pills!
Gee Nino I feel that I need to return the favor….. and help you with something!
My friend you have been helping me!
Gee Nino how have I been helping you??
My Friend the answer is pretty simple! Which is simply you sitting down with me each week in allowing me to discuss with you, these important topics that our society today are struggling with and need some guidance on!! Ok my friend I think I’ve said enough!
So my friend! Are you ready to tell me now what’s on your mind??
Yeah Nino!
Great! What is it?
Well Nino do you remember my friend that I told you about, that was in an car accident that left him permanently disabled! Yeah my friend! How’s he doing? Well Nino that’s the problem….. he’s not doing “anything”!! Gee my friend! What do you mean by not doing “anything”? Well Nino it was last week that I wanted to take him to the gym with me, to get him to start weight training with me! Ok my friend let me guess…. it didn’t go down to well with him!
Actually Nino your right again! Gee Nino I even took him to your website to read your story on you explaining why, you started to weight train and how it’s helped you tremendously both physically and mentally in your life! Nino I was hoping after he read your story, it would motivate him to start weight training with me! Gee Nino It would mean alot to me and his family, if you could try to convince and motivate him to start weight training!
My friend consider it done! Listen if anybody know’s the benefits that weight training, can have on a disability I believe it’s me! As you know my friend I’ve been asked alot of questions by people reguarding my disability! My friend here’s the question that seems to top this list! How I’m able to have such a positive attitude and outlook on my disability?? Well my friend my answer to them is simple! Ever since I started to weight train my attitude and outlook on my disability has completely changed!
Gee Nino if you don’t mind me asking! How has weight training changed your attitude in how you look at your disability?? Gee my friend do I need to remind you again! Ok I’ll give you a few examples! First competing in numberous bodybuilding contests! Oh that’s after being told by the critics out there that it was impossible, for me to compete in open classes and for that matter win! Let’s see my friend I have one more for you! When I set the State and National bench press record, after being told by the critics this time around that I was out of my league! Listen my friend the point that I’m trying to make here is simple! If I didn’t start to weight train and believe in myself there is no way, that I could have accomplished either one of these things in my life!
Gee Nino do you think you can motivate my friend to change his attitude… and get him to start hitting the weights?? Well my friend that’s exactly what I intend to do in my next blog! If you seriously think I’m the only person in the world who can weight train, with a physical disability and be successful… boy are you ever wrong! Believe or not their are many people out there like myself, who are weight training today with a certain physical disability!
Well my friend your about to be included along with many others, who are going to start weight training as well reguardless…. of what your disability might be!! My friend I’m going to tell you what you can expect to happen both physically and mentally to you if you begin to weight train! Let me just say my friend your going to have an entirely different, attitude in how you look at your disability as well! Oh my friend I almost forgot and also how society…. will look at your disability! Which is simply my friend in a positive way! My friend I know It’s something that your not used to but you better, start getting used to it from now on in your life!
My friend! The negative attitude on your disability stops now!!
Are you ready to start seeing the physical and mental benefits that weight training, can have on your disability in your life??
Yeah Nino!!
Here they come!!
Well first of all my friend! Let’s start with the physical benefits that your going to be seeing shall we! First with anybody who starts to weight train your going to see yourself, getting a whole lot stronger! Listen my friend I don’t care what your physical disability might be! Wether it be you confined to a wheel chair or walking with crutches like myself, you can still strengthen your muscles! There’s absolutely ”No Excuses” why you can’t! I have so what makes you any different than me……. absolutely ”Nothing”!!
Ok my friend! I see that you need a little more convincing….. how’s this one! Well the most significant physical benefit that your going to be seeing, is your body starting to transform into a lean mean fighting machine! Oh my friend and here is one thing your going to have to get used to, once that happens! Which is simply you receiving alot of compliments by people in how GREAT your physique is looking! Gee I don’t know about you but that would be all the motivation, I would need to start and keep on training!!
Gee Nino! I’m sorry but I’m still not convinced of the fact how weight training is going to help, boost my spirits in how I look at my disability! Well my friend I’m not in the least surprised that you would say this to me! Gee wait one minute my friend… don’t make up your mind just yet! I still have to discuss with you the mental benefits… your going to be seeing as well! I strongly believe my friend the mental benefits will be the deciding factor, to convince you to start weight training!
Well my friend once you start receiving all these compliments by people in how GREAT you look, then you can expect this to start happening! Would you like to know what it is my friend?? Gee Nino of course! I need all the convincing you can give me right now! My friend your going to start developing…. the very same attitude that I have today! Which is simply! “The I Can Do Anything Attitude” reguardless of how severe your disability might be! Like I’ve said to you before my friend! Just believe in yourself and your going to be amazed, what a little weight training can do for your self esteem!
Gee I almost forgot to mention to you the most important… mental benefit of them all!
Gee Nino what is it??
My friend I saved the best for last! Well once people start giving you compliments and patting you on the back, and say to you what an “inspiration” you are to them! My friend your response to them, is going to be the same one that I give them! Would you like to hear it?? Gee Nino! Do you even have to ask me….. of course I do! My friend your going to respond the very thing that I’ve been trying, to plant in your mind since day one of my mission! Which is simply these two words “No Excuses”!!
Gee Nino! Do you really think I can develop your same motto if I start weight training??
Believe or not my friend you’ve always had it you just have to start, putting it to use in your life! Listen my friend I can only try to encourage you to start weight training, and feel better about how you look at your disability! My friend I cannot force you to do something that you don’t want to do in your life, you have got to want to do it for yourself!
Listen my friend I’m going to leave you with one more thought for you to think about! Gee my friend wouldn’t it be nice for a change in your life, to see the positive benefits that your disability can bring you!! Oh not forgetting how other people will benefit from your NEW “No Excuse Atittude”!!
